When The Children and Families Act 2014 came into force, there were several changes needed to the provision for SEN education. This was then called the SEND Reforms. The Department of Education visited Harrow Council recently to make sure they were making all the necessary changes including transferring all statements into EHC plans by April 2018.
Harrow Council has been working closely with Harrow CCG and the Health Departments to deliver good quality services for families with disabled children. Harrow Council has reported that they are on target with most of the SEND Reforms requirements. They needed help with working with parents. The HP4DC relaunch means the forum will work together again with all the professionals to reach more families and involve them in the decision-making process.
